Supporting vulnerable members of society has always been a core priority for Dimitra Katsafadou and La Vie en Rose. As part of this ongoing commitment, they undertook the renovation of a special needs care facility in Agia Paraskevi that provides accommodation and daily support for children with intellectual disabilities.
A Space Designed Around the Children's Needs
The renovation was carried out with great care and respect for the children's needs, creating a safer, more welcoming, and more functional environment for their daily lives. Beyond improving the facility itself, the project aimed to offer every child the sense of security, care, and acceptance they deserve.
During a special ceremony, the members of the Association honoured Dimitra Katsafadou in recognition of her contribution. In her acceptance remarks, she spoke about the importance of providing meaningful, hands-on support to children, emphasising that she will continue to stand by their side. She also noted that, despite the challenges they face, these children possess what she described as "a unique kind of holiness."
